Meet A Family
This is the 30th house that Habitat for Humanity of Kershaw County has built!

Fredosia Peebles, and her daughter Richanda, moved into their brand new house fall of 2010. Habitat for Humanity of Kershaw County and the First Baptist Church of Camden partnered with the Peebles to build their home.
Fredosia’s last house was in ill repair with holes in the floor, no heat & air, and was located in a less than desirable neighborhood. She essentially had a roof over her head – but it leaked! In her new house she’s seen her utility bill diminish to less than half of what it was at her previous residence.
Ms. Peebles is a very community oriented person. One of her ministries is singing to residents of local retirement centers. She is a faithful member of Greater Faith and Joy Church. Her faith in God, church relationships, and personal ministries prepared her to be receptive of God’s blessing of a new home for herself and her daughter.
As a testimony to her blessing Fredosia, without hesitation, speaks to groups about her Habitat for Humanity of Kershaw County experience. Most recently she told “ her housing struggle story” to members of the Rotary Club of Camden.
During the evening hours Ms. Peebles can be seen perfecting her green thumb in the yard around her house.
